What is a Sexual Health Check?

A sexual health check is an easy way to test, treat and manage sexually transmissible infections and blood borne viruses. The test may include urine and/ or blood test and can include an examination by your Doctor if you have symptoms such as pain when peeing. This also gives you a chance to ask questions about your sexual and reproductive health. For an appointment
please contact a Goondir Clinic.

You should have a sexual health check if:

  • you have had unsafe sex including vaginal, oral and/or anal sex
  • you have had a failure of protection or condom during sexual activity
  • you have multiple sexual partners
  • you have started or ended a relationship
