Our local Aboriginal Health Workers are located at the Community Health building at the Oakey Hospital in Beale Street.
         
Oakey has a population of 4000 of which approximately 400 are aboriginal and is situated thirty kilometers west of Toowoomba. On the outskirts of Oakey is the Australian Army Aviation Centre and the Oakey Abattoir and Saleyards.

HOME VISITS

Home visits are available for clients of the service. Screenings include; blood pressure, blood sugar level, pulse rate, urine analysis, dressings and general health information. Visits can also be arranged for patients in nursing homes and hospitals.
