Goondir Health Service has a partnership with the Queensland Health Medical practitioners at the St George Hospital where they deliver sessions at the clinic.
Hearing Health:
Tuesdays is the allocated day for hearing health screenings to be conducted in the clinic. (child and adult)
All referrals for ENT are referred to the visiting Ear, Nose and Throat specialist; this specialist visits the St George hospital every month. All referrals to the Audiologist are referred to the Australian Hearing Service in Toowoomba or the visiting Audiologist in Roma. Screenings are carried out annually in the local schools where the hearing health worker and Aboriginal health worker are set up in a room at the school and they liaise closely with the school staff who is involved in this program.
